GHG Validation & Verification

Validation and verification of GHG mitigation projects as part of the assessment team at Carbon Check India, first as Trainee Assessor and then as Assessor and Technical Expert.

The work spanned eleven different ARR projects across four countries and four standards — VCS, Gold Standard, ICR and Plan Vivo. Responsibilities covered preparing validation and verification plans for both on-site and remote audits, carrying out the assessments as part of a team, and assessing responses and resolving audit findings.

Auditing at this volume is the fastest way to learn what separates a project that holds up under scrutiny from one that does not — which is the perspective I now bring to designing them.
