Sundarbans Mangrove Afforestation
A programme to develop the climate resilience of coastal communities in the Sundarbans through mangrove afforestation — protective planting that also underwrites local livelihoods.
I managed site selection for mangrove plantation, species selection and the development of standard operating procedures; ran nursery development, propagation and planting; and trained and led a large team drawn from the coastal communities themselves.

Helped to plant over 10 million mangroves in the Sundarbans in 2022–23
Germinated and propagated over 800,000 mangrove saplings across 15 species
